Rental Frequently Asked Questions

Can I hang things on the walls?

• We have found only 1 type of tape that does not take our paint off.  We will provide 1 roll of it if you need it, or you can buy more here.

How many tables and chairs do you have?

• 6 banquet tables 8ft long available for crafting (painting on, etc is ok) (or put tablecloths on for dining)

• 4 banquet tables 8ft long that are nicer and available for dining, etc.

• 4 banquet tables 6ft long available for crafting (painting on, etc is ok) (or put tablecloths on for dining)

• 2 dining tables 4ft round

• 2 dining tables 4ft by 6ft ovals

• Chairs for up to 50, that are traditional dining room style chairs.  That makes them more durable and comfortable than folding chairs offered at other venues.

Do you provide tablecloths?

• No, if the tables above aren't providing the feel you want, please provide your own tablecloths to spruce it up

How will the tables be set up?

• We can discuss how you would like the tables and chairs laid out ahead of your event, or we can arrange them to your liking when you arrive.

• If you need to move tables, please only do so with 2 people.  Dragging our tables with only 1 person could result in them being damaged, and therefore jeopardize your security deposit.

Can we get in early or stay late?

• Please contact us if you want to make that part of your plan.  We may have a rental immediately before or after yours, so we may not be able to accommodate you.  If we are able to, the additional hour fee that is listed on the main page will apply.

What do we do with the garbage?

• We do not have garbage collection service at Social Medium in order to save money for the teen programs.  You are allowed to leave up to 3 bags of trash that we will take care of.  If you create more, please plan on taking it with you.

What forms of payment do you take?

• We accept Cash, Check, Venmo or Credit Card, but we prefer Cash or Check to avoid paying the fees.  We will provide you with a receipt when you have paid.

Can I come see the space ahead of time?

• A pre-event visit is encouraged in order to visualize how you will use the space.  One such visit up to 20 minutes is included (we recommend you take as many photos as you'd like to make sure you remember it well).
